Originally from Michigan, Amy lived in New York and California before calling Maine her home in 2002. She has had a life long interest in art, and before turning to it full time in 2015, she worked as a family physician. Amy paints primarily in oil and draws regularly. She visits Monhegan every summer to paint on it’s rocks and hopefully get splashed by the incoming waves. In her Portland studio she draws and paints her children, friends and locals. Her current works have been a vehicle through which to find hope, connection and grounding in a tumultuous and changing world.
She lives with her partner Scott, and two children, Julien and Ava, along with their dog, Rosie, in Freeport.
