In March 2021, one of Schutz’s paintings was included in a virtual exhibit and artist talk, A Soft Glimmer of Hope, at the Bangor Public Library. Maine Magazine September issue features Schutz as one of twenty-five juried emerging and established artists.
Anne Thompson Schutz grew up in Maine near the ocean, lakes and farms. Many gardens at home influenced her evolving relationship with nature, color, and light. She captures infinite changes in motion or passing of time. She translates idiosyncratic expressions of pattern and forms, celebrates impermanence in paint.
