Many of my ideas come from photos of places I’ve been but I also use my imagination when I see images in the colors and swirls in the glass. I love to envision what the glass may become and use that to inspire my direction. Much of my inspiration comes from nature in the land, rocks, leaves, trees, and water.
I am a Michigan native and moved to Maine in 1980. I am starting my third year of retirement after teaching art in the Lewiston schools for 37 years.
I learned the technique of fusing glass in 2005 from the Maine Art Glass Studio in Lisbon Falls. There are so many different techniques one can use with glass that makes me very excited to experiment with new methods and ideas. I look forward to the possibilities.
