Casco, Maine
The joy of creating runs deep in my family and Im grateful for every opportunity to paint. I studied fine art and photography in college which led to a career in advertising, graphic design and digital communications. My past endeavors have all played a role in my current work. I started in oil, fell in love with watercolor and have worked in gouache and acrylic. In my first-ever show, one of my pieces won first place in the Naples for the Arts Show which resulted in many private commissions. I’m captivated with painting en plein air, working in larger formats and exploring maritime subjects. I have a long and enduring relationship with the ocean and have logged thousands of sea miles sailing with my husband. We live in the beautiful wilds of Casco in the Western Lakes Region of Maine and split our time between quiet country life (with bees and chickens) and time cruising and racing in coastal New England with our kids. I am a member of the Bridgton Art Guild and show my work at Gallery 302. I hold a BA in Fine Art from Ohio Wesleyan University and sustain my art with workshops and collaborations with talented artists around New England. Painting is a never-ending creative journey and I look forward to the many miles of canvas I will paint of Maines landscapes and seascapes.
