I grew up in Falmouth and one of my favorite places there is the Town Landing. Until I was about five years old I lived on the street leading down the steep hill to the public boat landing. This painting is a late fall view, looking south from Town Landing toward the Portland Yacht Club Pier, where the floats have been taken up for the winter. It is low tide and a mooring slab with an iron ring lies in the middle foreground. Beyond the yacht club are Portland and the islands of Casco Bay. I never tire of this sight, so the scene was an important item on my to-paint list.
The painting is matted and in a frame with overall dimensions of 16 x 13 inches. Maine sales tax included in price, but shipping extra. The painting is currently in California and ships from there.
